it's been a long time since my last post, and a lot has happened. 1) i now own a nikon d200, with a nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 DX lens. she's a beauty. my flickr site has most of the photos i've been taking. next steps: need to learn to maximize my work flow, make decisions about file sizes and ideal compression rates, and master Adobe Lightroom, which has the ability to manage a library of images, develop digital negatives (RAW or NEF files) and send images to print. 2)i have arranged a japanese language exchange deal with a japanese woman who wants to learn english...we're starting in early june. good stuff. exciting.
